The Secretariat of the Communist Party of Viet Nam directed all agencies
at localities throughout the country to enhance the party''s ability to
guide management and organisation of spring festivals.
Traditional rituals and music performances to celebrate the New Year
festivals of Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Myanmar took place in HCM City
yesterday.

A series of festivals kicked off the tourism season over the past week
as the industry launched a fight back following news that the number of
international vistors to Viet Nam took a dip during the first four
months of the year.
The Central Highland province of Kon Tum has seen success in reviving
as many as 19 traditional festivals of local ethnic minority
communities, as part of efforts to preserve the area''s heritage.

traditional festivals in Val-de-Marne, a province neighbouring the
French capital, and Yen Bai, a northern mountainous province of Viet
Nam, at the museum''s newest exhibition.
